I am hardly the first off the starting block with this discovery, but I have recently found out about Rubybox through a competition featured on Beauty South Africa, and it just looks like something I can’t resist. For R100 a month they send you a personalized box of trial-sized samples of beauty products, delivered to your door.
My one small concern is not getting value for money. When I spend R100 I like to know that I am getting R100 worth of product, and some of the samples look so small I am sure they would ordinarily be given away for free anyway. I asked someone in the know if they thought their Rubybox subscription was worthwhile, and she said it was a bit hit and miss, but still a nice surprise to receive every month.
A three month subscription is R300 and a six month subscription is R540 (so you save a bit), and this would definitely make a fun, original gift for anybody who loves to try out new beauty products. Receiving a Rubybox subscription as a gift would take away my niggling doubt about getting enough bang for my buck; I would just look forward to my surprise freebies every month!
I had a peek at the previous boxes on their website and saw some nice goodies like Lee Stafford dry shampoo, Incoco nail strips, Essence nail polish, Elizabeth Arden mascara, Prada fragrance samples and some nice makeup brushes. So I think there is something that will appeal in every box. If you love one of the samples in the box, just go online and purchase the full size from Rubybox, no need to search for it in the shops.
I am definitely going to get a 3 month trial subscription and see how it goes, then each month I can post a picture and short review of the products inside. To sign up, just visit Rubybox here: http://rubybox.co.za/join-rubybox
