I was thoroughly spoiled by Tosca salon when I recently won a Schwarzkopf BLONDME hamper by entering their Facebook competition. When I went to collect my products I was treated to a surprise wash/treatment and blow dry which was a fabulous Monday morning pick-me-up and I left feeling relaxed (the head massage is really brilliant and goes on forever) and very pleased with my va va voom hair! The hamper included a Blonde Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner, Shine Magnifying Spray, Blonde Brilliance Intense Treatment, a makeup brush set and a jewellery travel pouch. I used my makeup brushes for the first time and I was quite impressed with them; just what I needed!
The range is designed for blonde hair (obviously) and the Blonde Brilliance Shampoo is purple-tinted to get rid of those pesky yellow/brassy tones you sometimes get. I have been colouring my hair since I was 18, and I have learnt two things. Firstly, it is best done by professionals if you want the perfect blonde. Secondly, coloured hair needs a lot of TLC and investing in salon-quality products is worth it (though admittedly not always top of my list when I am prioritising my spend). I’ve tried the John Frieda and Lee Stafford products for blonde hair, which also have a purple tint, but they didn’t really make much difference to the yellow in my hair and were not quite hydrating enough. This professional range might be a bit of a luxury, but it will make a big difference to you hair.
These products leave my hair hydrated, feeling silky-soft and the colour looking great. The Shine Magnifying Spray acts as a heat protectant before blow drying or flat ironing, and gives hair a healthy-looking shine. I really needed this and the Blonde Brilliance Intense Treatment because I have been naughty and using my FHI Heat styler without a heat protectant, therefore drying it out. If you are blonde then there is something for you in this range to bring your best blonde to light! You can get the range at Tosca Hair & Beauty Tableview or Tygervalley, or I presume any salon which sells Schwartzkopf products. The Schwartzkopf BLONDME Blonde Brilliance Shampoo is R224 and the conditioner R231, while the Blonde Brilliance Intense Treatment is R242 and the Shiny Magnifying Spray is R249.
Tosca is still running the competition on Facebook, so you can enter by liking their Facebook page here and answer the question for Week 3 by leaving a comment on their page. Simple! Week 3 is running at the moment and there is still Week 4 to go. Facebook and Twitter are a great way to keep up to date with specials, competitions and news. Tosca Hair & Beauty also offers other treatments such as facials, waxing, massages and tinting, but I haven’t tried these yet. If you’d like to book you can find their contact details on www.toscasalon.co.za and more information on the services they offer. I can vouch for the fact they are really nice people!
