I have no idea why, but my Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser started to dry my skin terribly immediately after use, and after several queries it appears the Kiehl’s people have no idea why either (I.e. I never got my answer or any suggestions in response). So I have recently started using the Dr Hauschka cleansing milk because I am always looking for natural and organic skincare products that really work and have great research behind them. Sure, it is a bit pricey at R395, but I think it is worth it.
The packaging is very smart, a pump bottle which feels expensively heavy in your hand, with gold accents. I love the herbal scent of the cleansing milk too. It is a bit like walking through a garden, the scent of the essential oils used to fragrance this cleanser. It contains apricot, jojoba and sweet almond oils (these have always been winners in my experience) as well as a few other interesting natural ingredients including Kidney Vetch, a plant used for centuries for treating wounds.
I just wanted to share my BIG LOVE for this cleanser because if your skin is sensitive and prone to breakouts, or dry, you might want to consider this. It is a creamy rinse-off cleanser which removes makeup remarkably well and leaves your skin feeling literally as if you have just put your moisturiser on. My skin feels so soft afterwards, no dryness or tightness. I honestly cringe at the thought of using toner after this because I don’t want to wipe any remnants off! I am definitely getting the Dr Hauschka toner as soon as possible too though.
