Clarins Blush Prodige Cheek Colour in Soft Peach

I’m trying to limit my beauty buys to things I actually need (or might need in the very near future) as well as keep things within my budget, so when I noticed that I didn’t have any peach blush I reckoned it was a good opportunity to seek one out. I really wanted the Lancome Blush in Love in Peche Joue-Joue, but I can’t find it anywhere so I settled for a Clarins blush. This is one of the very few cruelty free makeup brands I have to choose from and I wanted something that felt a little more luxury but didn’t break the bank. I bought shade 02, soft peach.

Clarins Rouge Prodige

The compact is typical classy Clarins gold, and comes in a pretty red velvet pouch, although it tends to pick up fingerprints like nobody’s business. The brush that comes with it is pretty much for decoration though. I love that it combines minerals and plant extracts, and that the panels are a combination of a slightly darker matt shade and a lighter iridescent shade which highlights the skin. It is so easy to apply without looking heavy or streaky at all. This blush is actually quite light in the compact and I was worried it wouldn’t even show up on my pale skin, but it looks lovely and natural and gives a healthy glow. It also comes in other shades.

It costs R360 and I think this is completely worth it. The quality is amazing and it will last a long, long time so it is good value. Below is a picture of what it looks like on me.

I agree, it is totally worth it! A good blush in a plastic, unattractive contained is around R250 odd. Love this! Now I want it too 😛
