The Body Shop Leona Lewis Cruelty Free Range (a belated review)

Leona Lewis Body Shop

This post is very late considering the Leona Lewis Cruelty Free range has been at the Body Shop for ages. This limited edition range includes shimmer palettes, lip glosses and the cutest blush brush I’ve seen (possibly ever). The Body Shop is having a 20% – 50% off sale at the moment so while I was in there shopping for some new makeup brushes I got myself one of the shimmer palettes because I could not resist the adorable packaging. This is what the range looks like.

Leona Lewis, the brand ambassador for The Body Shop, was involved in the design of the deer motif which adorns the range’s packaging, and I think it is so pretty. The shimmer palette comes in two shades, Oh Deer! Bronze and Oh Deer! Blush. I got the lighter blush one to use as an overall highlighter and blush. I’ve ordered what I hope will be a great golden bronzer from e.l.f so I didn’t really need another bronzer. We will see how that pans out. The shimmer palettes are normally R195 and I think I picked mine up for R92.50 or something like that, so it was really good value.

I love that the deer design follows through with the three shades in the palette. By using the two darker shades it makes a pretty blush, and you can use the lightest shade alone as a highlighter, or swirl the three shades together. What is nice about it is that it isn’t glittery or too shiny, it just gives your face a subtle radiance.

I love Leona Lewis, she’s such a gorgeous girl! I was actually eyeing that blush for a while but forgot to pick it up, I doubt they’ll still have stock at my Body Shop. 😦
