The Midas Touch

I was amused to notice the other day that my makeup bag was looking a bit like a leprechaun’s…full of gold! I thought I would share some recent purchases and golden oldies.

Clarins Blush Prodige Cheek Colour in 02 Soft Peach

This has become a favourite recently. It gives a subtle and natural looking radiance which I love, and the colour suits me. I have a review on it here.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Mascara

I got quite a while ago on the Rubybox sale and I never got around to writing a review on it. I think the matte gold packaging is very classy and mascara is lovely to apply. It glides on without clumping, and does a fair job of adding a bit of volume and a bit of length, and at the same time conditioning your lashes through daily use. I really like and recommend this mascara, but it is very natural looking, and I am searching for a wow factor.

Smashbox O-Gloss Gold

My newest purchase which gets a gold award is the fascinating Smashbox O-Gloss Gold. You might have heard about the O-Gloss which is an intuitive lip gloss that adapts to your lips to create the perfect shade for you. This does the same, but with a twist. I will leave you hanging, as I am going to post a review with pictures this week

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin

The Urban Decay primer potion in Sin is an eyeshadow primer with very cute genie-in-a-bottle packaging which I bought as part of a set. I expected to use this more often that I have been, but it gets ignored sometimes for a week at a time. Pure laziness on my part, because I love it. I have done a review, if you want to read it here.

Bourjois Intense Eyeshadow in 02 Miel

Lastly, I dug out this Bourjois eyeshadow in 02 just to remind everyone of how cute these eyeshadow pots are. I have had a lot of use from the pot blush I purchased at the same time (review of both here) but less from this, as I have the perfect golds in my Stila In The Light palette. But I thought Bourjois definitely deserves another mention because I love the brand.

Prettiest leprechaun’s bag I’ve seen! 😉 Was feeling very inspired by your posts, and ordered my first rubybox on Friday. Hoping to graduate from clueless-about-anything-but-lipstick-girl, to make up pro sometime this decade! 🙂
