My skincare routine has undergone a major overhaul since the last skincare post I did. I have fallen in love with Clarins again since digging some moisturizers out of hibernation and discovering they solved my dry skin issues once and for all. When they finished recently I replaced them with the Clarins HydraQuench Cream and Santal Face Treatment Oil. I am supposed to use the treatment oil every night for a month to sort out my dehydrated skin, but I am dying to give my new Night Repair a good run first. I can’t use both because I’m sure I would be reducing the efficacy of the one I use second. Such a dilemma… Maybe the skincare experts reading this could let me know.
I have switched to a REN cleansing balm at night too, which has been a bit life changing. I donated my Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery to my mom because it wasn’t really making much difference to my skin, and instead have some new serums in my line-up including the Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Super Antioxidant Serum (I don’t have the retinol version though) for the mornings and Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair II for the evenings.
I have also gone a bit toner mad, to round things off, and now use two Clarins toners for the night and alternate between the chamomile toning lotion and Lush/Hey Gorgeous toners in the mornings. The only thing left from my old routine is the Dr Hauschka Cleansing Milk which I use in the mornings and still love. You can see I am still very much inclined towards the ‘natural’ or plant-based products, and everything is cruelty-free except the Advanced Night Repair, so I’m still feeling more or less comfortable on that front.
