New from Mavala

Mavala has a few new releases for SS13/14 which I love the look of. What I love about their mini polishes (when I actually have nails to wear them) is that the small bottles are so convenient to store and use, and frankly I have never finished a regular sized bottle of polish before it has gone all goopy and dried out. I really love the formula, which is long-wearing and easy to apply – no multiple coats necessary, and no streaks! They have two new mini collections, the Jewel Mini Colour Collection and the Metropolitan Mini Colour Collection. I love all of them, so will have a hard time choosing, but I really lean towards the dual-toned Metropolitan colours below. The retail price will be R65.

Or if, like me, you love a bit of sparkle, these are the new Jewel colours…

Now, for the other nail-chewing makeup lovers out there they have this genius new product, the Makeup Correcteur. This is the same concept as a polish corrector pen for cleaning up your nail bloopers, but it is for fixing makeup mistakes. As I said, genius. Who hasn’t bumped their mascara wand on the side of their nose occasionally or struggled to get their winged eyeliner looking perfect? I’m pretty excited about this corrector pen. It’s alcohol and fragrance free, won’t sting your eyes, and comes with replacement tips. It will retail for R220, a little hefty but oh so useful.

The new products will be in stores in early November, so look out for them, as well as the new Mild and Extra Mild Makeup Removers. Which are going on your wish list?
