Tried and Tested: Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Mask

Schwarzkopf is fast becoming one of my favourite hair product brands because I have been consistently impressed with whatever I have tried.  I have used their professional salon range and their drugstore offerings, and the new Color Mask hair colour which I reviewed a while ago has now become my go-to hair colour. Now I’ve found the perfect treat for my hair, which does tend to feel a bit dry and stressed at the ends, presumably from over ten years of hair dyeing. A good conditioning treatment is a must for me every second wash or so, and my new favourite hair mask is the Schwarzkopf Gliss Ultimate Oil Elixir Structure Build-up Mask.

I was sent this one and the Marrakesh Oil & Coconut Intensive Moisture Mask, and this was my favourite of the two despite loving anything coconut (I didn’t really notice any discernible coconut scent unfortunately). Both of these masks contain liquid keratin. The Ultimate Oil Elixir version smells amazing and the scent really lingers in my hair after I’ve dried it.

That aside, my hair really feels soft, smooth and tangle-free without feeling greasy or weighed down. And these hair masks only need to be left on for one minute, which makes them a notable time-saver. I think they cost roughly R70 (try Clicks or Dischem) so they are affordable as well as effective.

The packaging looks so luxe! The Marrakesh Oil & Coconut Intensive Moisture Mask smells chocolatey to me…like cocoa beans or something. Definitely no coconut scent in there.

The Gliss range is good value for money, in my humble opinion. 🙂

I tried their shampoo a few years back and it really didn’t agree with my hair. Now I am wondering if maybe they changed their formula. At that price it is definitely affordable enough to try. The hair colour looks gorgeous though.
