Balm Balm’s new Frankincense Range is perfect for Christmas!

Frankincense was one of the first ever Christmas gifts, which makes the new Balm Balm frankincense facial range an ideal Christmas gift or treat for yourself. I think this range has come along at the perfect time of year, and I was incredibly excited to hear about it. Firstly, I love the scent of frankincense. Secondly, it has really amazing skincare benefits. Thirdly, I am a huge fan of Balm Balm’s natural and organic products.

The range includes the Frankincense Deep Cleansing Balm, Frankincense Hydrosol and Frankincense Light Facial Oil. I was lucky enough to receive them to try and the star product for me was the cleansing balm. I have a bit of a cleansing balm obsession, and this is one of the best – if not the best – one I have tried. Made of a blend of waxes and oils, it doesn’t emulsify but gets rid of every last bit of grime. I am literally left with a brown handprint on my baby flannel after wiping this off. Gross, but true (and I find it weirdly enthralling). It leaves my skin feeling really soft and moisturised without feeling oily. The 30ml jar for R235 looks tiny in comparison with the huge jars Clinique cleansing balm comes in, but a little goes a long way and I reckon it will last a long time. And it’s just special.

I also can’t gush enough about the facial oil. I have incredibly dry skin and massaging this in at night is absolutely sufficient to last all night without the need for a moisturiser. I couldn’t bear to cut my EstΓ©e Lauder Night Repair out so I use it first, allow it to absorb completely and then use this facial oil over it. I am not making up fairy stories when I say I could see a noticeable difference in my skin from the first morning. It looked lighter and brighter, with pigmentation, red marks and pores less visible, nourished and kind of plumped up and glowing. I was actually astounded. Maybe there is a bit of fairy dust in it. It’s the only explanation. Or perhaps the fact that Frankincense apparently improves circulation. A 10ml bottle with dropper costs R188. Worth every cent.

These products would make the most wonderful Christmas present. The Frankincense range is available online from www.luhla.co.zaΒ where they have a special running. Buy two Frankincense products and get a free Balm Balm Rosehip Serum worth R280.
