My week in Instagram #8

It feels like forever since I did a weekly post! The excuse of being busy is getting old, so let’s just say I reordered my priorities over the last few weeks. I didn’t post anything for a week and nobody noticed except my grandmother, which proves that pressuring myself to keep blogging is benefiting nobody really, especially myself.

When I have a morning free I love to film a YouTube video and take some blog photos, but I’m not going to let it become another chore. This week I had fun doing a Dior Spring 2014 tutorial for the simple pleasure of using my new makeup, and I’ve been doing a bit (lot) of online shopping lately so I might feel inspired to do some reviews when I’ve had a chance to try everything. Every now and then I get a comment or a tweet that makes the hard work worthwhile, but frankly I’ve been feeling pretty disheartened about my blog for a while. I suppose the thing to do is apply some lipstick and soldier on.

Hi Bronwyn, I read your post this morning and just wanted to let you know, that I too did notice that you hadn’t put a post up for more than a week! I read and follow a lot of blogs and yours is by far my favourite. I can not wait to hear your views on the Paula’s choice treatment that your purchased, I have heard some really good things about the brand and am very interested to know if it really does what it says it does. Thanks for the awesome blog and have a wonderful evening.

Thank you so much for your kind comment! It meant a lot. I will definitely be reviewing the Paula’s Choice treatment, it makes a lot of claims and I really do trust the brand…so holding thumbs!

I think as bloggers, we all tend to put this crazy pressure on ourselves to do so much but then sit back and question why we are doing it in the first place, because like, who really cares? I go through this often but the truth is all those stats that you see are people that come and read your posts, because they are interested in what you have to say and that right there is something.

Keep doing what you’re doing, but only when you are feeling up to doing it – if that makes any sense at all?
