They say good things come in three’s, don’t they? I might have just made that up, but I’ve been trying and loving three new Schwarzkopf Professional hair products this month, the Bonacure Colour Freeze Silver Shampoo, Bonacure Colour Freeze Conditioner and BLONDEME Colour Correction Spray Conditioner. As you can see, I’m not joking around when it comes to keeping my hair as platinum as possible. To be honest I want to have hair like Storm from X Men and I ain’t gonna let Goldilocks rain on my parade. So this past month I’ve got a complete Schwarzkopf line-up starting from the Color Mask in pearl blonde and ending with a spritz of purple shimmery spray conditioner.
The Bonacure Colour Freeze Silver Shampoo (R224) and matching conditioner (R224) I bought on a whim because my L’Oreal Silver Shampoo is nearing an end. I have to say I’m really impressed with the effectiveness of it. It is the same deep violet colour as L’Oreal’s offering but slightly more hydrating with more lather. I like both and think they are the best in terms of tone-correcting shampoos I have tried.
The Colour Freeze Conditioner is a bit of an oddity in that it doesn’t have the usual slippery feel of conditioner on my hair, but seems to absorb completely. This makes it a bit difficult to feel where I’ve applied the conditioner and as a result I tend to probably use too much. I enquired about this, and basically my hair is so fried due to my blonde ambition that it more or less sucks in all the moisture. So it isn’t the product, it’s my hair.
Having said that, I still manage to comb through it with ease in the shower and it does a pretty good job of de-tangling and restoring softness to my hair, I also love that the scent lingers in my hair for a long time after blow drying.
After shampooing and conditioning I give my hair one final spritz of purple using my new Schwarzkopf BLONDEME Colour Correction Spray Conditioner (R230). I bought this from Retailbox and just want to mention that I received it on the same day I ordered it! Amazing. It is such a pretty dark purple with silver shimmer in it, probably the prettiest hair product I’ve ever encountered. This spray conditioner is also intended to neutralise brassy or yellow tones and offers UV protection. You don’t have to worry about spraying on too much and getting purple hair. It is quite a light conditioner, so if your hair is dry or damaged I would use an in-shower conditioner first as I do. I also use my BLONDEME Shine Magnifying Spray when I’ve dried my hair.
All in all I’m loving my new completely Schwarzkopf hair routine. I do miss the amazing raspberry scent of the L’Oreal shampoo and conditioner I was using previously, but the Schwarzkopf scent is lovely and very salon-like too, so I’m happy. You can find all of these products at Retailbox or in salons.
And I’ve just today added four new products from the BC Bonacure range to my repertoire, so I will be explaining a bit more about the science behind this range and updating my haircare regime in a post in the near future 🙂
