I’ve tried quite a few Gosh products this year but realised that I haven’t really mentioned them much. I’ve wrote a review of the Gosh multicolour blush in Pink Pie a while ago, which you can find here, and a few other products were hits, like the Amazing Length ‘n Build Mascara, I decided it was time to do a whole Gosh winter makeup look which is easy and affordable to achieve. The softer colours make it good for the transition into Spring too.
Winter always makes me think of plum lips, but plum can be a bit intimidating and I don’t usually wear it as a lip colour on a regular basis. This look uses soft plum and neutral eyeshadows, plum liner and a mauve lip…kind of a toned down and softer plum-themed winter look.
Gosh Smokey Eye Palette in Smokey Plum *
These palettes come in four colour ways and are really affordable, yet the quality is really good. This palette has good colour payoff, and the shadows apply very smoothly. I think the colours are so pretty, individually and combined. None of the four shades are matte, but the shimmer isn’t too in-your-face which makes it good for day wear. The darkest plum shade has very fine micro particles of glitter in it which add a hint of sparkle for evening. These lasted over nine hours on me with primer.
Gosh Smokey Eye Liner in Smokey Plum *
I like this colour! It sits somewhere between charcoal and plum, and is dark but not as stark as black. I got a nice strong line without any effort and it is easy to smudge.
Gosh Intense Lip Colour in 303 Blossom *
These are either liquid lipsticks with a glossy finish or a very opaque and pigmented lip gloss with a doe foot applicator. I love that they come with a little mirror on the side and a light that clicks on for touching up in the dark and on the go! Shade 303 is a mauve shade which is a bit more daring than a nude pink but not as bold as a full-on purple or plum. It feels very comfortable and hydrating on my lips and applies really smoothly (no streaks!) but isn’t enormously long-lasting. It doesn’t stain so needs to be reapplied after an hour or two.
Gosh Catchy Eyes Mascara *
This mascara has an curved rubber wand to create curl, length and definition. If you’re looking for a pretty good dupe for the new Dior It Lash mascara, this is it. I find both look nearly identical on my lashes. So this is a great affordable option to try. I still need an eyelash curler first but it is long lasting, doesn’t flake or smudge and easy to apply. It works really well on bottom lashes too.
Gosh Natural Blush in Electric Pink
These blushes are super pigmented, so I recommend removing the excess from the brush before applying if you prefer a natural look. I usually prefer more neutral blush colours for winter and save the brighter pinks and corals for summer, but I will be hanging onto it for warmer weather. This is a medium cool-toned pink which is easy to blend and lasts well on me.
