Clinique SuperFine Liner for Brows

Since becoming a Clinique insider I’ve found myself becoming more aware of Clinique makeup. In my early 20s I used a lot of their makeup but after a ten year gap I’m having fun rediscovering things. And one new discovery is the Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows, which I bought a while ago to replace my Smashbox Brow Tech to Go.

I have a lot of eyebrow. I see comments about people trying to grow their brows out and I think, my gosh, what I would like is some brow retardant or something! I usually wax my brows out of pure laziness, which occasionally results in my ripping the tail end off accidentally, or widening the gap between my brows too much. Before I can blink they’ve grown back, but in moments of mishap and to deal with general wildness, I’ve become very fond of this little eyebrow liner. Here is why I love it:

It comes in a click-up pencil which is handy. I love that this is a very thin pencil (unlike the Smashbox one which is quite a thick, squared off tip) and can draw in very fine hair-like lines. It also doesn’t need sharpening!

As a blonde it is difficult to find a brow product which doesn’t end up looking reddish, or too dark. Clinique had a great range of colours, I think five in all. There is a very light one for extremely pale brows (soft blonde), and next up is the colour I chose, soft brown. It is very natural looking without any reddish tint.

These brow liners are R215 at Clinique counters. I will keep on repurchasing this as it is my favourite brow product to date based on colour, availability and ease of use.

You are so fortunate to have what I call versatile brows, some girls with thick brows once they have waxed it is never the same again whereas yours grow back fine. My own brows have always been fine though. I was never an over-plucker they just are like this and half are snow white blonde meaning I always have to use a pencil to fill in as well as a tint. Will defintely give this a try since my Estee Lauder brow pencil has just, just finished!

    Thanks for the review 🙂

I guess I am lucky! At one stage when I was 12 or so my brows were quite red. Now they’ve darkened to a light brown or dark blonde colour. I once accidentally waxed literally half my eyebrow off, and it was back in a flash! Lol. Not sure if tendency to grow hair very fast is a good thing, but I guess brows are an exception. 🙂 I would love to hear what you think of it.
