The Foreo Luna is here!

We’ve gone from a scarcity of facial cleansing brushes in South Africa to being in a position to pick and choose at last! The Clinique Purifying Cleansing Brush has just arrived and everyone is saving up for the January launch of the Clarisonic, but if you’re looking for something that will be around for Christmas, then we now have a third option, the Foreo Luna!

Foreo is a Swedish brand and I’ve been aware of the Luna for the last year but didn’t think it would reach our shores, until I got the exciting news that they will be available in the first week of October on Zando. So what makes it exciting?

The Luna uses sonic pulses delivered through a silicone pad. Unlike the Clarisonic it doesn’t have an oscillating brush which could trouble very sensitive skin, like mine. You use it while cleansing for 2 minutes twice a day. It is a gentler system, but still penetrates deeply to remove impurities and eliminate breakouts. It also improves skin texture. The traditional Luna has an anti-ageing setting and silicone points for each skin type, while the Luna Mini is more travel and budget friendly. There is even a Luna for Men.

They cater for all skin types, and are 100% waterproof. They also last 300 uses on one full USB charge, and there is no need to buy replacement brush heads, which saves on cost down the road. The cherry on the top is that they come in a range of fun colours like pink and turquoise, so I guess they would brighten up your day as well as your skin.

As a heads up for those early Christmas shoppers, they will retail for R1900 for the Luna Mini and R2790 for the Luna and Luna for Men on Zando.
