The Moo Reviews | Lush Shooting for the Stars

IMG_0590

This month The Moo is reviewing the Shooting for the Stars ballistic from Lush. If you missed her first Moo Review last month, you can find the post here and an explanation of what this series is about. She was absolutely thrilled with all the comments and encouragement she received and has now turned into a monster, wanting to review everything in sight.

We did this interview in the bath with the ballistic, and this is how the conversation went.

Look it is spinning! What do you like about this one?
I told you I picked the best one! It makes the bath dark blue with yellow bits and white bits and pink bits too.
It matches my toenails.
Oh. My. Gosh. There is LOADS of glitter!! Girls are going to love this.
What about grown up ladies?
I don’t know about that.
Well I love it. I think I like it even more than Star Light Star Bright.
It is like a thousand and a hundred and one times better. It is like sleeping on the moon.
Sleeping on the moon? What does that mean?
The water is like the sky in the night time and the white bricks (she means tiles) are like the moon and the glitter is the…
Moon dust.
Exactly. How cool.
Could anything make this ballistic even better?
If it shooted out stars and rainbows.
Okay. What do you think it smells like?
Like delicious moon rocks. (For the record, it actually has a honey caramel scent like Honey I Washed the Kids…divine)
I have no idea if moon rocks actually have a smell, but I’m glad you are making these cosmic connections. Very clever.
Making comic collections? I don’t even know what you mean. Ooh, look at the sparkles in the water!
Never mind. How does your skin feel?
It’s so soft like a lamb. Fabulous!
Lambs aren’t even that soft but anyway. Where did you learn the word fabulous?
From you. Look, I’m blue and sparkly like Queen Elsa. *launches into an ear-splitting rendition of Let It Go*

Lush Shooting for the Stars

The take-aways from this so-called review are that this ballistic is amazing. It is limited edition for the festive season, and definitely worth stocking up on. Not only does it smell amazing – exactly like walking past a Lush store – but it delivers on colour as well as moisturising and softening the skin. My only caution would be that it does contain a lot of glitter, which leaves some shimmer on the skin. Most of it does towel off, but if you are not a glitter fan then maybe skip this one. Personally bathing in glitter is my idea of heaven even if I’m a “grown up lady”. This would also make a perfect Christmas gift for kids! Retails for R48.50.

Loved this review! 🙂 Moo is so cute! Is the whole LUSH Christmas collection out at the V&A store? We’re heading down to Cpt this coming weekend for a 2-week holiday and I’m hoping I can stock up on Xmas goodies. xxx

I haven’t been to V&A but canal walk has so I’m sure they do too. There are also three more Christmas stock shipments coming apparently so we can all get our fix 😛

Oh my gosh! This is the cutest thing I have ever read, I can imagine conversations with Moo must be so hilarious and entertaining, she sounds so smart!

Yup she’s like five going on 15! She is really hilarious because she often uses these big words but gets them slightly out of context which makes me laugh. She comes up with some real gems sometimes
