Frazzled hair? You need to try…

At the end of year I got a Retailbox Secret Box for damaged hair containing Joico K-Pak shampoo, intense hydrator and a deluxe sample size deep penetrating reconstructor. As a bleached blonde I know what it is like to have straw for hair, so if you are suffering from dry and damaged hair from chemical treatments or heat styling, I feel your pain.

I can honestly vouch for how well this range works. I have seen a dramatic difference in my hair from the first week of use. By way of example, I was at a point where I could brush my fringe upwards and it would stay there… not because it was dirty but because it was like straw. Now that the softness has been restored my fringe is obeying the laws of gravity. My hair feels soft, smooth and silky, the way hair ought to, not as though I have just blasted it with a whole can of powdery dry shampoo.

Joico K-Pak repairs damage, builds strength and protects from future damage, and is suitable for both fine hair and coarse hair. I need to use a purple shampoo to keep my blonde ashy, but I usually use this first and then follow with the purple shampoo, or will alternate between the two. The intense hydrator is perfect for taming dry frizzy hair and I use this as my conditioner every time I wash. Once a week I will give my hair an extra treatment using the deep penetrating reconstructor. Both only need to be left on for five minutes, but I tend to leave the reconstructor on for a little longer. It contains the highest concentration of the repair formula.

My hair really looks and feels healthy again, and is more than able to withstand regular use of a straightening iron (I prefer to air dry my hair and then straighten it afterwards). So if you’re looking for a hair miracle, then I can highly recommend these. The shampoo is R250 for 300ml, the intense hydrator is R350 for 250ml and the reconstructor is R390 for 150ml and they are available online from Retailbox or at selected salons.
