Golden Globes Makeup 2015

I am finally back after quite a long break including an amazing holiday to the Kruger Park. I am definitely going to be doing post on my safari skincare tips because I deviated quite a bit from my normal routine. I hope everyone had a relaxing break too! Time to kick off with 2015…

I didn’t actually watch the Golden Globes, but after every awards show while everyone is picking best and worst fashion moments I am merrily Googling the makeup looks! I’ve picked a few of my favourites, from the best smokey eyes to the most wearable looks.

There were a lot of nude and natural looks which could easily be worn as everyday makeup. I think Kate Hudson and Sienna Miller looked beautiful, and they just enhanced their features with nude makeup.

I also loved Anna Kendrick and Emily Blunt’s subtle colour, and both of these I would love to recreate as day looks.

Nude lips and smokey eyes are a great evening combination which adds some glamour to an occasion. My favourite makeup of the night might just have been this look from Jennifer Lopez.

I also thought these smokey eye and nude lip combos were gorgeous!

The last trend which I noticed was the classic red lip. While a few were paired with smokey eyes and I thought they were a little OTT for my taste, there were some which kept the rest minimal and achieved a look which would work well for both day and night.

Although winged liner is set to be a trend for 2015 and was all over the Spring 2015 catwalks, it wasn’t a trend I noticed at the awards. Whose makeup was your favourite, and what trends are you looking forward to embracing this year? I am already a fan of the feline flick so I will be getting my liners all lined up…
