The Imperfect Housewife

I used to watch Anthea Turner’s show, The Perfect Housewife, with devotion and even wasted precious minutes of my life folding the guest towels according to her prescription. According to Anthea you could stay fit, eat healthy home-cooked meals, keep a mansion in perfect order, make sure your dogs are permanently groomed and still have time to arrange flowers and do cute DIY decor stuff around the house…all while keeping your perfectly-applied makeup intact and your hair expertly blow dried.

The reason I haven’t been blogging for two weeks is because this is all a big fat lie. Our domestic worker has been away for over a month, and with washing, ironing, mopping, sweeping, garden watering, pool maintaining, vacuuming, window cleaning, changing bedding and tidying up a very large house (not exactly Anthea-sized, but big enough) along with a very hectic work schedule and the Moo’s extra murals I have literally not had a second to write anything. But taking all this into account I’m sure I’m forgiven for being an imperfect housewife…

We all juggle so many things at once, but there does come a point where you have to sacrifice something because there are only so many hours in a day. If your whirlwind of activities make you want to fall down, then sometimes the best thing to do is fall down for a few minutes and let something slide. 🙂

I will be back to posting news and reviews next week so you can look out for posts from then.
