50 Shades of Nude

50 Shades

No matter how many nude lipsticks I buy, I am forever on a quest for the “perfect” nude which will suit my skintone and enhance my lips’ natural colour,  something not too brown, not too pink, not too peach… I’m not sure if anybody identifies with this. Even when I find a shade I absolutely love and which seems to tick all these boxes, I’m still on the look-out for another one which might somehow be “The One”. If you too are desperately searching for your perfect nude shade, here’s a roundup of my favourites. You might just find something you’d like to try…

50 Shades of Nude...Lipstick

I think to date Givenchy Beige Plume is my ultimate favourite nude lipstick in terms of both colour and formula. It glides on like satin and isn’t too brown, too peach or too pink. It’s a wearable nude shade which goes with pretty much everything. My second favourite to date is MAC Blankety, a soft pink beige with a creamy opaque formula that feels so moisturising on the lips. If you’re looking for a bit more pink, Chanel Rouge Coco Chine in Boy is a classic, while MAC Shy Girl is my favourite peach-toned nude. I haven’t tried the new Stila Color Balm shades yet, but I’ve got Meg on my shopping list…a nude for fair skin (there are three shades to suit different skin tones). I love the creamy formula and minty tingle of these Stila lipsticks. All of the above are my idea of lip-bitingly good…
